Students of the Month named for April
Honored for April as Students of the Month at Paynesville Area Middle School were (left or right) eighth grader Maggie Frieler, sixth grader Katie Lahr, and seventh grader Max Lahr.Each month, three middle school students, one per grade, are recognized for their behavior and effort in class and their relations with their classmates and teachers.
Katie and Max are sister and brother. Their parents are Tom and Jill Lahr.
Katie said she was excited and happy to get the award, which she feels she received because she worked hard.
She participates in choir.
Her teachers say that Katie is a good student: friendly, respectful, and hard working.
Max was happy and surprised to receive the award, and he doesn't know why he was chosen.
He plays baseball, football, and hockey.
His teachers state that he is well behaved, pleasant, cooperative, respectful, and gives a solid effort.
Maggie, the daughter of Steve and Jane Frieler, said she was surprised and honored to be chosen for the award. "I got all my work in and stayed on task," she explained.
She participates in gymnastics and band.
Her teachers say that Maggie has shown great improvement, is working harder, and is responsible and cooperative.
