Girl Staters named at PAHS |
Girl Staters were named
recently from the junior class
at Paynesville Area High School. The girls needed to be in the top half of their class and were recommended by teachers to the respective Legion auxiliaries. Both Loesch and Horn used to live in Lake Henry and have grandparents active in the Legion and the Legion auxiliaries. Girl State Camp is June 11-17 at Bethel University in St. Paul. They also will be reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, raising and lowering the flag, and participating in baccalaureate, graduation, Memorial Day, and Veteran's Day. Girl Staters are: (left to right) Celia Frieler, Paynesville alternate; Marissa Mackedanz, Paynesville stater; Kayla Loesch, Lake Henry stater; and Brittany Horn, Lake Henry alternate. There are no Boys Staters this year. Mackedanz and Frieler represent the Paynesville Legion Auxiliary, and Loesch and Horn represent the Lake Henry Legion Auxiliary.
