Martinson to retire this week |
Kathee Martinson, office manager of Peepers Distinctive Eyewear in Paynesville, is retiring at the end of March. Her last day at work is Friday, March 31. Martinson has worked at Peepers for 17 years, since Dr. Bart Dubow opened the office in 1989, later joined by two additional doctors, including Dr. Greg Friederichs of Paynesville. The biggest change in office management in this growing business has been computerization, said Martinson, and the coming of a paperless office. She said the office will be in good hands with Krista Dombrovski, a 1997 PAHS grad, taking over as manager. In addition to her office work, Martinson served on the board of directors for the Paynesville Area Chamber of Commerce for 12 years, including president in 1995, and has organized the Peepers Picnic during Town & Country Days since 1990. "I'll miss the patients that I've gotten to know over the years, and I'll miss the doctors and that terrific staff that I've had the privilege to work with," said Martinson, "but I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time with family and taking some long motorcycle trips." Kathee joins her husband Gene in retirement. They live in Paynesville Township.
