Jessica Morlock (Tanya Whitcomb) shows off her muscles to Luigi Lanconi (Jeff Thompson).
"The cast is having a fun time rehearsing and putting everything together," Janell Hoffman said.
The play takes place in the living room of the Morlocks. Mr. Morlock is obsessed with money. He does not feel Joe Lanconi, son of a poor Italian meat cutter, is worthy of his daughter's hand in marriage. Papa Luigi comes to Joe's defense and the feud begins.
The shows on Friday and Saturday at 5:30 p.m. are sold out. The five-course dinner will feature Italian cuisine. The main entree will be fettuccini and pork chops.
There are still a few seats left for Sunday's matinee. Tickets for the matinee (no meal) are $4 in advance and $5 at the door.
Tickets are on sale at the Paynesville Area Center.
