Students of the Month named for February at PAMS
Students of the Month were announced last week for February at Paynesville Area Middle School. Winners were: Wendy Buermann (right), sixth grade; Ryan Orbeck (left), seventh grade; and Mike Berry (center), eighth grade.Students are chosen for their behavior and effort in class and their relations with their classmates and teachers.
Buermann, the daughter of Sue and Cyril Buermann, was very surprised to earn the honor. She thought she had been selected because of her good grades.
Her teachers said that Wendy is a good student. She participates in class, works hard, and is friendly and responsible.
Wendy likes to play volleyball, football, and kickball.
Orbeck, the son of Dennis and Betty Orbeck, said he couldn't believe that he received the honor. He likes to play soccer.
His teachers said that Ryan is responsible, friendly, and hard-working and that he contributes in class.
Berry, the son of John and Peggy Berry, was also surprised to be chosen for the award. He thought he had been selected because he tries hard in school.
His teachers stated that Mike is well-liked and works hard, always putting forth a good effort.
Mike likes to play football and baseball.
