Krista Fuchs and Tim Roberg were crowned Sweet Fest queen and king on Friday afternoon.
The Sweet Fest coronation kicked off a week of activities on Friday at the Paynesville Area High School. Maggie Weber, 1996 Sweet Fest queen, and Casey Meagher, master of ceremonies, walked back and forth behind the 1997 Sweet Fest candidates (Krista Fuchs, Erin Pelton, Stephanie Tangen, Tim Roberg and Josh Williams) before crowning Krista Fuchs and Tim Roberg. Friday was designated Red and White Day; yesterday, Feb. 18, was Beach Party Day; today, Feb. 19 is Wacky Hair Day; Thursday is Twin Day (dress like a friend) and Friday, Feb. 21, is School Spirit Day.
